The most nerve racking thing is when you are standing in front of a crowded room and you can’t remember what to say, and you start uttering all nonsense, but we are here to help you prepare for a wedding speech, no need to be scared or nervous, just follow our tips and you will succeed in your speech.

One of the most important rules in speech making is to be well prepared. You can start by figuring out what you are going to say.

When making your introduction to your speech you may add some humor, but if you are not good at making jokes then you may start off with an acknowledgement of importance, maybe as to what makes this wedding day memorable, special and important.

You must also take note to add even just one joke to your speech, to make the guest laugh, remember this is not a sad day so you need the audience to smile and feel happy.

Mention the bride and groom in your speech, but try not to mention anything that is too private or embarrassing them and strictly off the limits are mentioning’s about ex-boyfriends or girlfriends. Also mention the bride and grooms in-laws although you may not know them personally, try to get some info about them.

Once you know the content of you speech you should try to write it down on a page, it will be best if you try to memories your speech to avoid mumblings and forgetting what to say when speaking.

-       Remember to have eye contact

-       Try not to be nervous, ensure that you glance at your notes if you get stuck.

-       Speak slowly and loudly.

-       Create high and low tones to create interest.

End you speech on a high note. Give the audience something to think about, or you can share with them something that they can learn from.
