Euphoria, victorious jubilation for some, grief for others; but nevertheless a spectacular show down of the greatest soccer world cup ever hosted.    In honour of all 32 teams, the millions of fans and organisers of the nation’s brilliant tournament, let’s raise our glasses South Africa; we felt it, we were there!

The 30 minute closing ceremony of the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup , will be broadcast to millions of TV viewers world-wide, from Soccer City, and will be a celebratory tribute to the tournament, the fans and the unforgettable experiences during the event.

With a cast of 780 members, the ceremony would be broadcast live in 215 countries to more than 500 million viewers.
It’s set to be show with an assortment of fireworks and the latest light effects technology "We are looking at youthful and technological advanced closing ceremony and because it is at night time the event will feature a lot of lighting technology," spokesperson Jamaine Craig said on Wednesday.  "The closing ceremony will pay tribute to that spirit with a world-class production," he said.
"While the opening ceremony was more traditional in its approach, in order to do justice to Africa's heritage, the closing ceremony will have more contemporary and youthful themes."he added
He has also confirmed that Colombian superstar Shakira and local group Freshlyground will be performing their number one hit "Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)" during the closing ceremony.
