Make “Game” A Part Of 2010!
Make “Game” A Part Of 2010!

One of the highlights of this country is our wildlife. The forethought of many conservationists from the past to the present has left South Africa with an abundance of the “natural world”. South Africa is known for its discovery of the diamond, its struggle for freedom, and its inviting climate, but it is also popular for its wildlife, namely the big five.

Many tourists from across the globe decide to travel in South Africa in search and sight of interesting natural world. In 2010 tourists will be lurking out of every corner, their arrival here will be in aim of attending the Soccer World Cup but there will be other agendas and that safari trail will be a must …

A very elegant safari destination, Singita Game Reserves in South Africa is about wildlife, community and conservation and every degree of luxury a tourist or local could want. Singita Game Reserves also prides itself on the inventive design of its four lodges, they made their role to provide, the excellent food and wine and warm hospitality. Just like most popular game reserves, wildlife is the crux of their safari offer; in particular, you're certain to see the large herds of buffalo, the lions and the variety of antelope that the area is known for.

Hluhluwe / Umfolozi Game Reserve has a layout in the heart of the Zululand and is the most ancient game reserve in Africa, where historic Zulu kings like Shaka made their mark. Game viewing is the principal attraction in the Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve. Viewing hides overlook pans and waterholes enabling one to observe the wildlife at close range. The sites are amazing on bout trails and safari routes, from birds galore to the reason why the park is a legend today, because of its white rhino conservation

The largest game reserve in South Africa is the Kruger National Park. The land stretches far and wide of 20 000 square kilometers, where you will have an almost indescribable wildlife experience. Unquestionably it ranks with the best in Africa and is of the country’s national parks. Visiting the park will be a memorable and ultimate safari experience. Lurking around is the Big Five, the Little Five (buffalo weaver, elephant shrew, leopard tortoise, ant lion and rhino beetle), the bird Big Six (ground hornbill, kori bustard, lappet-faced vulture, martial eagle, pel’s fishing owl and saddle-bill stork) and more species of mammals than any other African Game Reserve.

Sabi Sands Game Reserve, The Game Reserve is certainly the most exclusive private game reserve in South Africa. The abundance of land in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve is located on the south-western corner of the Kruger National Park. There are no co-fineries fences between the Kruger Park and Sabi Sands and the wildlife journeys liberally between the two game reserves. The Safari will be incomplete if the main attraction is not seen, the leopard. Even when hunting to find the leopard the experience is unforgettable.

Shamwari Game Reserve is the Southernmost, Big Game, elite reserve in Africa. Being always at health hazardous, the reserve remains Malaria free, this is important to mention seeing as many tourists are afraid of contracting diseases and resorting to an awful stay ahead. This African adventure starches along the Bushman’s River halfway between Port Elizabeth and Grahamstown, which forms part of the legendary garden route. The reserve offers include outstanding scenery and the celebrated ‘Big Five’. Lastly their hospitality will leave you craving for more on your next visit.

There has to be an adrenalin rush in the thought of the fantastic nature and wildlife features to enjoy in sunny South Africa. Our African land has a lot to offer and many to impress. The Game Reserves listed above is just to taste the “cream of the crop.” Visiting the game reserves on your stay here for 2010 will feed your appetite of tourism in this country whole heartedly. Also when in the presence of basking in the ambience, the sheer pleasure of feeling comfortable and the essence of “home sweet home” will kick in.
