Check Your Credit Score Regulary And Avoid The Rude Awakening

A recently divorced friend of mine was so excited because she finally mananged to save enough money to pay for her new car, in the spirit of friendship and equal excitement we went together to the car dealer to arrange for her to buy her car.

When we got there we had everything needed to purchase a car but our excitement was short lived when the dealer said ‘Sorry Ms but we don’t sell cars on credit to blacklisted individuals,” she was embarrassed, humiliated and disappointed because according to her she had no unsettled debt that could lead her to being black listed.

Thank God for our Attorney friend who was able to help her with the situation, it took four months to fix the misunderstanding between her and the financial institution that had put her to blacklist.

As it appears my friend and her ex husband share a list of assets, that they both bought, thou they share it the charge was only in her husband’s name because he’s the one using them.

But the truth is they are both co-owners of the assets and the agent has them both on every debt and cost of the property, thou they (ex husband and friend) had agreed that he will be liable and responsible for levies, they didn’t inform their creditors, that’s where the misunderstanding occurred.

Thank heavens the ex husband is not bitter he cooperated fully and helped clear her name.

There are many others who find themselves blacklisted without even knowing for various reasons.

This was a rude awakening to her, to avoid the same happening to you make sure that you keep in check with your credit records so you can quickly alert the officials if something is wrongfully imposed on you.
