Celebs : Idols: Last two standing

Idols' two "old guys", 28-year-old Lloyd Cele and 30-year-old Elvis Blue, are the season six finalists!

The last woman standing, Durban's golden girl, 22-year-old Sindi Nene, tonight became the final contestant to bid the competition farewell before the spectacular Finalé show next Tuesday, (2 November).

Sindi might have received the fewest votes this week, but the more than 1.3 million votes cast in total over the week is an indication of just how close this competition is now, with just a week to go before the Finalé.

Last week the listeners of all five the official radio partners around the country predicted that Sindi would be leaving. They were wrong last week, but this week they were unanimous again, and this week they were right. East Coast Radio's Abi Ray, Algoa FM's Charlton Tobias, 94.7 Highveld Stereo's Darren "Whackhead" Simpson, KFM's Ryan O'Connor and Tim Thabete from OFM all correctly predicted Sindi's exit tonight.

The Top Two Spectacular of Idols Season 6 will be recorded at the Mosaïek Teatro in Fairlands, Johannesburg, on Friday, 29 October, and it promises to be a cracking show featuring performances from last year's winners, Jason Hartman and Sasha-Lee Davids, and the winner of Idols Season 4, Jody Williams!

Tickets to that show are available from Computicket at R20 and R40, and tickets to the Finalé on 2 November are also on sale.

This weekend the two Idols 6 finalists will meet their fans at the Fury William Nicol Ford dealership in Johannesburg on Saturday morning before flying out to Durban to perform live at the Currie Cup Final at the Absa Stadium! And Sunday sees their final public appearance before the Finalé when they meet their fans at Canal Walk in Cape Town on Sunday afternoon!

For details on these final public appearances, or to book any of the Idols for events, visit the Idols 6 website at www.mnet.co.za/idols and on Twitter (@idolssa), and join the Facebook group (Idols South Africa). Source IAFRICA
