Hitting Below The Belt: Men Who Take Painkillers Have More Chances Of Developing Erectile Dysfunction

Attention men, especially those of you who take pain killers regularly, the pills may be killing a little bit more than pain.

According to a recent study men who take pain killers have 50% more chances of developing erectile dysfunction, than those who don’t take them as often.

The study published in journal Spine found that men, who take opioids, including codeine, have 50% more chances of developing ED.

The study revealed that 19% of men who took high-dose opioids for at least four months developed ED.

Whereas only 7% of men who don’t take any prescription pain killers have ED.

The most commonly used opioids are hydrocodone, oxycodone, and morphine.

The Study of 11000 men with back pain showed that men over 65 are more at danger of developing ED.
