Give A Green Gift This Christmas
Give A Green Gift This Christmas

I am always keen on taking the opportunity to give eco-friendly gifts during Christmas. Personally I think green gifts are responsible and meaningful.

So I have put together a bunch of options that I thought would be appropriate for everybody. These gifts ideas will not only make a positive contribution to the earth but also to our pockets.

For new gardeners like my sister who is pretty keen on learning more about gardening but also loves cooking I have put together a fancy little food garden starter kit. This little basket is packed with seeds of herbs and veggies she loves to cook with and also quite simple to grow. Germination mix, plant tonic, seed trays, a little watering can and little seedling tags are also popped in. I am sure she will love this rewarding gift.

For other affordable ideas my garden is never short of gifts, because I have an abundance of plants from herbs to shrubs. I have plenty of friends and family admiring plants in my garden so I have propagated a few of my favorite plants from cuttings and divisions and wrapped it along with other gardening goodies and tools.

For the all the little green fingers who love to get their hands dirty in the garden I have found the most adorable little garden toolsets and snazzy little gumboots with all in one planting kits. If you look around your local nurseries and garden centers I am sure you find a few more fun kiddies stuff.

If you know a few non-green fingers that will refuse to get their hands dirty then maybe something stylish for your fashion savvy friends from the Township Boutique at Shop 10 in the New Cape Quarter, De Waterkant, Cape Town will do. Township is a South African and eco-conscious fashion label and social enterprise.

These ideas still don’t suit everybody? Don’t stress we have also linked you to faithful to natures ultimate gift guide for some great yet guilt free shopping.

Go green guys and I hope you now have some great Christmas shopping inspiration!
