Skin Bleaching 101? Nigerian Singer Under fire For Promoting Skin "Bleaching"
Skin Bleaching 101? Nigerian Singer Under fire For Promoting Skin

Cameroonian/Nigerian singer Dencia is under fire for promoting whitenecious, a popular skin lightening cream in Nigeria.

According to reports whitenecious sold out within 24 hours of release in Nigeria, singer Dencia is advocate of this cream and she has caught a lot of attacks for involvement.

According to her official release, the brand has 2 products on the market;

“Whitenicious by Dencia” for dark spots which clears dark spots caused by anything from acne, wounds, hyper-pigmentation bruises etc… on any part of the body. It works on all skin types including sensitive skin and “Whitenicious by Dencia” for dark knuckles, knees and elbows. A lot of people suffer from hyper-pigmentation on these areas and this product clears up the pigmentation to match the rest of your skin. It can be used on all skin types and everyone from white to black.

Many people took on to social media to voice their disapproval of Dencia’s cream, one of those who spoke against Dencia’s cream are award winning actress and author Koola Bouf who acused Dencia of being a African  queen turned fake white who wants to confuse little African girls .

“Dencia used to be a dark luciously beautiful Black African Queen. But now she’s an imitation White woman. A bleached SCAB”

“You selling that Whitelicious s**t to African children. That makes you proud? You selling your soul. @IamDencia

I think I speak for most people when I say this Whitenecious is no dark mark remover we’ve all seen dark spot remover and they don’t make you look like Casper the ghost. This is a bleaching cream disguised as blemish/ spot remover, if you don’t believe me, check Dencia’s before and after pics, before self hate got to her she was a beautiful dark skinned African woman, now she’s washed out and doesn’t look half beautiful as she was before.

Another sad case of self hate.
