5 Ways To Cut Medical Costs
5 Ways To Cut Medical Costs

Whether you are with a medical aid group or not medical cost is one of the most expensive costs that nobody can avoid, here are the five ways you can cut your medical cost

 Joan a medical aid group

If you are an employed individual you have to have medical aid insurance for yourself and children if you have, this is a reasonable way because you on pay a certain fee monthly and when you fall sick you don’t have to chunk out a large sum of money for doctors and medication.

 Take care of yourself

They always prevention is better than cure, if you take care of yourself and health properly avoid falling sick and putting yourself situations that may lead to you seeking medical attention, you are automatically saving a lot of money towards medical care.

Be smart with your cover

If you have a spouse or a partner and you have children together, discuss among yourself and chose one medical care group and let one of you join as principal member and the other partner and kids be dependents, calculations and common sense shows that will save you money instead of both of you joining two groups as principal members.

Don’t be shy collect the quotes

Collect 60 if you have to, the aim is to choose the most reasonable cover that makes more sense and gives you value for price, there are covers that offer benefits like gym, and regular discounts and some even make you pay for one child and the rest are free.

Use government health care facilities

Even if you have a medical use government hospitals and clinics as much as possible, most are free and though they are not as luxurious as the private hospitals, they still offer similar facilities and services, unless you really, really have to use your medical aid don’t use it. Things like flu vaccinations, STI’s, light headaches and even free ex rays you can do at the government hospital, after all your tax money helps to keep them running so you can use them.
