MTN's 200MB Apology To Blackberry Users

Cellular network MTN has issued an official apology to all BB users who were affected by what they refer to as a technical error that resulted in all BlackBerry user’s being charged insane amounts of data.

As part of their apology MTN gave users 200MB data to use.

They also issued a formal apology to all affected subscribers through the media and their official Facebook page

“Our technical team has been investigating the root cause of this error, to resolve the issue. In keeping with our promise, the affected customers are being provided with an additional 200MB bundle. We apologise to our loyal customers for the interrupted experience. This is certainly not consistent with our standards," says Karel Pienaar, Chief Executive Officer at MTN SA.

“We are currently monitoring this solution, and will continue to do so until our range of BlackBerry services operate as intended. We wish to assure our customers that we are working tirelessly to find a speedy resolution to this issue," Mr CEO concluded.

 Though this seem as a reasonable offer MTN customers were not having it, on their Facebook page MTN South Africa, may expressed their disappointment about the network and some complained that they had not received the promised 200MB data.

Wasted to much money for BIS this month, so I was forced to change to Cell C. MTN need to come up with better plans to please there customers.

 

 

Some customers were venting about how happy they are with their new networks and encouraging others to port to other networks too.
