Reebok Drops Rick Ross Over Controversial Lyrics
Reebok Drops Rick Ross Over Controversial Lyrics

Clothing and shoe company Reebok has finally dropped Rapper Rick Ross from their campaign and cancelled sponsorship deal worth millions, after the public demanded that the giant company cut ties with him for his lyrics that sound like they encourage sexual abuse.

In the song "U.O.E.N.O," Ross raps: "Put molly all in her champagne, she ain't even know it. I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain't even know it."

After the public ridiculed Ross he issued two apologies to women say he does not support rape nor encourage it and one to his sponsors and business partners, "Apologies to my many business partners, who would never promote violence against women. @ReebokClassics @ultraviolet"

But his apology was slammed by his twitter followers, Reebok issued the following statement on Thursday.

"Reebok holds our partners to a high standard, and we expect them to live up to the values of our brand," the statement read. "Unfortunately, Rick Ross has failed to do so. While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse. At this time, it is in everyone's best interest for Reebok to end its partnership with Mr. Ross."

We bet He Even Knows, that artistic expression or not, there are boundaries that society must respect
