To generate traffic and sales through social media you need to consistently feed your social network with creative and fresh content in order to capture your consistent audience.

This can be in the form of articles, blogs and sharing of significant press releases, videos, galleries and more.

This takes a lot of dedication and adds up to quiet a work load but what’s worth the effort is that social media is the cheapest form of advertising.

Even though it is a good platform to generate sales it is not on the other hand advisable to use as a direct sales tool. People tend to use social media to view specials and deals mostly because it isn’t about forced marketing and merely just developing loyalty through followers.

However it is not clever to bombard people with sales offers rather try to keep posts interesting. Social networking sites can be very effective promotional tools because people who are passionate about your brand can post complementary comments online for other potential customers to read.

So the key is to post content relevant to your audience. But the most highly valuable point to social marketing is that you can get your customers to post reviews and testimonials about your products. It is easy to offer competitions and prize giveaways to generate more reviews. Informative videos are a must have, so take advantage of easy to upload and popular Youtube videos.
