Joshua David Duhamel was born on the 14 November 1972 in Minot, North Dakota. He is the eldest of four and son to Larry, an advertisement salesman, and Bonny, a high school teacher. His three younger sisters are Ashley, Cassidy and Mckenzie. His hotness may also stem from the fact that he is of French and Canadian heritage.... With this hunk’s brawns come brains as Josh studied at Minot State University and believe it or not, acting was not his first priority. He studied Biology and wanted to go to dental school after completing his degree, however he dropped out one-and-a-half credits shy of his undergraduate degree. Sporty - He was also the quarterback for the university football team. He enjoys football, basketball, golf and skiing.

After doing a bunch of odd construction jobs, he fell into modelling and went on to win the title of Male Model of the Year in an IMTA (International Modelling and Talent Association), in 1997. Ashton Kutcher was the runner-up. His acting career began shot off with the Turistasactor in music videos for Donna Summer’s I Will Go With You, and Christina Aguilera’s What a Girl Wants. He then played the role of Leo Du Pres in ABC’s All My Children, and in 2003 he landed a prime time role on NBC’s Las Vegas as Danny McCoy. Win A Date With Tad Hamilton was his big screen debut. Steven Spielberg, hand-picked Duhamel for the role of Captain William Lennox in Transformers, after seeing his performance on Las Vegas (where his character returned from the war in Iraq). He was on the ‘50 most beautiful’ list in 2004 according to People (USA).
Hands off ladies, as the When In Rome actor is married to Black Eyed Peas singer Stacy “Fergie” Ferguson.
Earlier this year, Josh was also the official pace car driver for the 2009 Indianapolis 500, and he drove the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Pace car. He co-owns a restaurant in Minot with his best friend called 10 North Main. You can look forward to his next movies (still in production) called Life As We Know It and When in Rome.
