Rihanna made an extravagant comeback at the Metropolitan Museum Annual Costume Gala, for her first major public appearance on the red carpet since she was allegedly assaulted by boyfriend Chris Brown.
The 21 year old, looked dramatic in her Dolce and Gabanna tuxedo suit with exaggerated puff sleeves, cropped pants, and bow tie.
Her solid black and blue eyeshadow, and slicked hair added to her striking look.
Now we know her look was over the top to create a stir at the Gala, but you can easily achieve a toned down look for the office or an evening function.
Some tips:
- Choose a jacket with not so puffy sleeves.
- The choice of fabric is important, if you want to create this look for work then choose a suit in wool, but for a night out then go for a satin/silk suit.
- Tone down the dramatic eye make-up, leave out the bow tie, and Rihanna's look can easily be worn off the red carpet!
